I love simple DIY projects that are easy to tweak and adapt to my own, personal style. This DIY necklace is so effortless, you can make one up in less than 5 minutes and have a brand new accessory for the outfit you’re wearing right this minute!
If you are able to tie a knot, you can create this DIY necklace in just three simple steps with a couple of supplies I’ll bet you already have hanging around!
You Will Need:
What to Do:
1. Cut a length of cord.
This length will depend on how long you like your necklaces. I favor medium-length necklaces, so I cut my cord to be about 32″ long.
2. Tie one end of your cord & string your beads onto it.
You can add as many beads, charms, etc as you’d like here. Get creative – the possibilities are endless! 💎🎀💎🎀
3. Tie the other end.
If you are worried about your knot coming untied, you can add a drop of glue to the knot and let it dry. I burned the ends of my nylon cord to keep it from fraying.
Crazy easy, right? Fold it in half, hang it around your neck so the ends are on one side with the fold on the other and pull the beaded ends through the loop.
This DIY is perfect for using up extra supplies and in less than an hour you can have a necklace for every outfit you own that you made yourself!
It’s also great for (last-minute) handmade gifts – it’s so quick and you can make whatever colors/styles your heart desires!
